If you are using an Ingenico iSMP Companion or iCMP mobile payment terminal, you can accept mobile payments in CPMobile via Apple Pay and Google Wallet.
You must be using NCR Counterpoint V8.4.6.12 or V8.5.1 (or later) with NCR Secure Pay to accept Apple Pay and Google Wallet payments. Mobile payments cannot be processed in stores that are configured to use NCR Counterpoint Gateway (CPGateway). Additional mobile payment systems will be tested and certified in future releases of NCR Counterpoint and CPMobile.
To enable support for Apple Pay and Google Wallet, you must first configure your Ingenico mobile payment terminal for use with CPMobile.
Your iSMP Companion or iCMP payment terminal(s) must be updated to firmware version 13.04 or later to support Apple Pay and Google Wallet.
When you have completed these steps, a customer can enter a credit card payment for a CPMobile ticket by tapping a smartphone or other mobile device running Apple Pay or Google Wallet to the iSMP or iCMP mobile payment terminal.
Apple Pay payments can be assigned to the pay code that matches the type of card the customer has selected (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and so forth). However, because Google Wallet transactions rely on a "virtual" MasterCard number, instead of the customer's actual credit card number, you must use the MasterCard pay code (or a generic credit card pay cod that includes the MasterCard prefix) for Google Wallet payments.
If you have assigned the correct prefixes to your pay codes in Counterpoint, the appropriate pay code will be selected automatically when a customer taps his or her mobile device to the iSMP or iCMP payment terminal.
Google Wallet payments are identified on receipts and on the Transaction Details tab of the NCR Secure Pay Credit Settlement portal as MasterCard payments and include the masked, virtual card number. In addition, the Card Holder for Google Wallet payments on the NCR Secure Pay Credit Settlement portal is /, which is the value associated with the virtual MasterCard number.
Apple Pay and Google Wallet payments are labeled Contactless transactions in the Entry Mode column of the Transaction Details tab of the NCR Secure Pay Credit Settlement portal.
