Entering Orders

CPMobile Point of Sale now allows authorized users to enter order tickets, along with sales and returns.

You can only enter orders in CPMobile Point of Sale if the Allow orders check box is selected in your Counterpoint Point of Sale security code (Setup > Point of Sale > Security Codes).

The ticket type for each new ticket in CPMobile Point of Sale, either Sale or Order, is determined by your station's Default line type setting in Counterpoint. The current ticket type is indicated by the Closedcolor-coded header at the top of the Ticket screen. You can convert a sale into an order, or vice versa, by changing the ticket type.

You cannot combine Sale lines and Order lines on a single ticket, nor can an order include Return lines.

You can add items and assign a customer to an order, just like you can for a sale ticket. You can also accept an initial deposit for an order and specify the final payment for the order. When you complete an order in CPMobile, it is saved to your NCR Counterpoint database, allowing you to take additional deposits and to edit, print, pick, and release the order from a Counterpoint workstation.

The shipping address for each order is automatically set to the default shipping address on file for the customer assigned to the order. You must edit the order in Counterpoint to specify a different shipping address.
