Connecting to a Receipt Printer

You can connect a CPMobile device to a Bluetooth or IP receipt printer when you print a receipt from CPMobile Point of Sale, or you can connect them ahead of time by following these steps:

  1. From the CPMobile main menu, tap the button.

  2. From the Printers section, tap Configure printers to display the ClosedPrinters screen.

  3. If you have not paired a Bluetooth printer with your CPMobile device directly, tap Scan for printers to find local Bluetooth and IP printers.

Tap the button and enter a receipt printer's IP address on the ClosedAdd Printer screen to select the printer manually.

If you have already paired a Bluetooth printer with your CPMobile device, it will appear in the Other Printers list, indicated by the Bluetooth No Sled label.

  1. Tap the button next to a printer to display the ClosedPrinter detail screen.

Bluetooth printers can be identified by the icon, while IP printers are indicated by the icon.

  1. If you want to rename the printer, tap the Printer name field and modify the name.

  2. If the printer is an Epson TM-T88V Ethernet (IP) printer with a cash drawer, tap the ClosedCash drawer on/off switch (turning it ON) to indicate that a cash drawer is connected to the printer.

  3. Tap Print barcode to print a barcode for the printer. You can affix this barcode to the printer and scan it when you are printing a receipt to select the printer.

  4. Tap Set as default to designate the printer as the default receipt printer for the CPMobile device, if you wish.

  5. Tap Done to return to the Printers screen, and then tap Done (on an iPhone or iPod Touch) or Close (on an iPad) to return to the main menu.
