Configuring Barcode Scanner Settings

If you are using a CPMobile sled or Socket Mobile barcode scanner, you can configure CPMobile to ignore the leading digit and/or the trailing check digit of UPC barcodes, allowing you to tailor the scanner to the barcode format you are using for your items.

Follow these steps to configure the CPMobile sled barcode scanner:

1. From the CPMobile main menu, tap the button to display the Settings screen.

2. Scroll down to the Barcodes section and tap Configure barcode scanning to display the Barcode Configuration screen.

   

3. Tap Ignore leading digit to configure the barcode scanner to ignore the leading digit of each scanned barcode.

4. Tap Ignore trailing check digit to configure the barcode scanner to ignore the trailing digit of each scanned barcode.

Digits that will be ignored are marked with a red X in the sample barcode on this screen. Digits that will be scanned are circled in green.

5. Tap the Settings button to save your changes, and then tap Done to return to the main menu.
